Program Overview
Our thoughtfully designed 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training unfolds over 4–6 months, offering a comprehensive and transformational learning journey.
This training blends academic depth with embodied wisdom, inviting you to explore the heart of yoga through education, experience, and community. Whether you're preparing to teach or simply deepening your personal practice, you’ll be supported every step of the way. Through this training you'll learn:

In-depth study of anatomy, functional movement, and yogic philosophy

Guided self-inquiry to help you uncover your voice, values, and teaching purpose

Collaborative group work, dialogue, and reflective discussion

Specialized workshops with experienced and heart-led instructors

Hands-on practice teaching and assisting to build clarity and confidence

Consistent personal practice to integrate what you learn on and off the mat

Assignments between sessions, including reading, group projects, and class observations
Our training is both challenging and energizing—infused with joy, curiosity, and care. It’s designed to support not only your development as a teacher, but your growth as a leader and lifelong student of this practice.
The schedule will look like the following on training weekends:
Fridays | 5:30–9:00 PM
Saturdays | 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Sundays | 1:00 PM–7:00 PM
We recognize that life can be full—whether it's family responsibilities, pre-planned travel, or unexpected conflicts. If you anticipate needing to miss a weekend, please communicate those dates with us in advance upon applying. Consistent attendance and active participation are essential to fully benefit from this training.
Should you need to miss a session, you’ll be required to make up the hours through independent work, connecting with peers, and scheduling a one-on-one session with a lead trainer to ensure you’re supported and up to speed.

The Curriculum

Biomechanics, functional movement, and anatomy applied to yoga practice and teaching. -
History, Philosophy & Ethics
The roots of yoga through ancient texts, the Yoga Sutras, and a modern lens on yogic ethics. -
Asana, Meditation & Pranayama
Deep personal practice, breathwork, and meditation supported by alignment, subtle body awareness, and energetics. -
Teaching Foundations
Core principles of teaching, cueing, and sequencing—including peak pose sequence design and review sheets. -
Practice Teaching & Practicum
Live practice teaching, personalized feedback, and guided practicum to build confidence and voice. -
Trauma-Informed Yoga
Trauma-informed approaches and the psychology of music—learn to create grounded, resonant "flow" experiences. -

What happens after I’m accepted?You’ll receive an enrollment packet with next steps, your welcome materials, payment plan options, and required reading list. A non-refundable deposit is due to secure your spot.

Where does the training take place?Many sessions are held at Embody Yoga Studio in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. We will also host immersive elements (like practice teaching, special workshops or curriculum days) at local locations, which will be communicated in advance. Example: We may meet for a morning coffee and philosophy chat at Children's Lake in Boiling Springs before heading to the studio to work on practice teaching.

What if I have to miss a weekend?We understand that life happens. If you know in advance that you’ll need to miss a weekend, please let us know when you apply. You’ll be responsible for making up any missed hours through peer connection, home study, and a one-on-one meeting with a lead trainer to ensure you stay aligned with the group.

Do I need to be advanced in my practice to join this training?Not at all. This training is designed for students who are passionate about deepening their practice—whether you’re looking to teach or simply explore yoga more fully. You don’t need to be able to do handstands or advanced poses; what matters most is your curiosity and commitment.

Can I take this training even if I don’t want to teach?Yes! Many participants join to deepen their personal practice, learn more about yoga philosophy, or step into a season of personal growth. Teaching is an optional outcome—this experience is for anyone seeking a deeper connection to self and community.

Is this training Yoga Alliance certified?Yes, we are in the acceptance process with Yoga Alliance. Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll be eligible to register as a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).
